After graduating from Laval University in 1994 with a degree in civil engineering, Stéphane spent the first two years of his career working as a project engineer for the fabrication and construction of structural components and the execution of municipal projects. He then joined an engineering consulting firm where, in the capacity of civil engineer, he designed structural steel and concrete while also taking part in municipal, road and environmental projects. During his four years there, he also oversaw the implementation of the ISO 9001 quality management system.
Stéphane joined Canam in January 2001 as a joist design engineer, a position he would hold for four years. He was then appointed to oversee customer service in the area of joist and girder reinforcements for all Canadian and U.S. projects. During this time, he also collaborated with the Engineering Department in designing and verifying joists.
In 2009, Stéphane joined the Canam Group Engineering Applications Department where he currently works as an engineering systems analyst-designer. He is responsible for ensuring that programs are executed in compliance with current standards.
