Two projects recognized for the second and third quarters of 2008

The Dieppe Aquatic and Sports Centre in Dieppe, New Brunswick, earned Canam Canada’s Project of the Quarter award for the second quarter of 2008. This project, covering a surface area of 32,300 square feet (3,000 m²), consists of over 120 tons of Canam steel joists, joist girders and steel deck. The products, fabricated in the St. Gédéon de Beauce and Boucherville plants, were delivered in April 2008. Canam’s customer for this project was Titan Metals Group Ltd. of St. Antoine, New Brunswick.


The winning project for the third quarter of 2008 was the GWL Realty Advisors office building located in Mississauga, Ontario. Canam supplied over 300 tons of steel joists and bridging for this 112,700-square-foot (10,470 m²) project. The products were fabricated in the Mississauga plant and delivered in August 2008. The Canam customer for this project was Spencer Steel Ltd. of Ilderton, Ontario.

Both customers, steel fabricators Titan Metals Group Ltd. and Spencer Steel Ltd., will receive a framed photograph of their respective projects as an expression of Canam’s appreciation.
