An indoor field in the Alphonse-Desjardins Sports Complex is named after Canam Canada
The official launch of the Alphonse-Desjardins Sports Complex indoor multi-sport facility featuring a synthetic playing surface was held on January 15. The facility can be used whole or divided into three playing fields, one of which is named Canam, Solutions et Service sur mesure (Canam, Customized Solutions and Service) after the Canam Canada logo. Its step riser boards also bear the Canam logo.

The indoor fields will be used mainly for soccer, given the growing popularity of the sport, but will also serve as a venue for baseball, golf, football, flag football, rugby, etc.
Tony Bégin, sales manager for Eastern Canada and business development manager, represented Canam Canada at this event, which gathered together the various stakeholders who participated in the construction of this major sports complex. The press conference attended by more than 100 people was followed by a soccer practice on the indoor field.
Canam supplied more than 1,100 tons of steel components for this project, including 39 bowstring joists 253 feet (77.1 m) long, the longest joists in its history.
