A Canam engineer publishes a technical article on the new edition

Dong Li, a Canam Group engineer specialized in cold-formed steel products, recently published an article in the August 2007 edition of Structure magazine discussing the various changes that were made to the third edition of the Steel Deck Institute (SDI) Diaphragm Design Manual.

The article highlights the wider range of information presented in the new edition, such as nominal design tables for decks of up to 3 inches, the application of ASD and LRFD methodology, fastener shear-tension interaction verification as well as various other modifications.
