More than 870 tons for 12 Wing Shearwater in Nova Scotia

Canam Canada won two contracts for the fabrication of joists and steel deck for the construction of two facilities at 12 Wing Shearwater in Nova Scotia.

Canam will fabricate more than 870 tons for the two facilities, which once completed will cover a total surface area of 289,000 square feet (26,848 m²). Deliveries for the first building began in late September, and the last deliveries for both projects will be made in December. The components are being fabricated at the St. Gédéon and Boucherville plants in Quebec.

The joist and steel deck fabrication contracts for 12 Wing Shearwater, one of the oldest air force bases in Canada, were awarded to Canam by Cherubini Metal Works Ltd.
